March 2021 - Helix Monthly Results
We forgot to post the results from the February Helix Disc Golf Monthly, which was our biggest one yet with 47 players. Well, it was the biggest until our March Monthly, which saw 60 players come out to Palm Royale Country Club in La Quinta on Saturday, March 13, 2021. We expected this one to be big as the final warm-up before our 1st Annual Bert Cotton Memorial Tournament (PDGA-sanctioned C-tier) that will be taking place at this course on April 3. We played the Round 2 pin positions as a little practice before the big tournament. We pre-registered online and sold out quickly, but that certainly helped make the day go smoother without the need to check-in or make up the cards that morning!
We couldn’t have asked for much better weather. It was a picture-perfect morning for disc golf on this immaculate golf course. This monthly was also the debut of our new travel baskets, with 18 MVP Black Hole Pro Transit targets that will really help legitimize our roaming events throughout the Coachella Valley. Those old DGA MachLite baskets were good to us for many years, but it was about time for a major upgrade!

Thanks to everyone for coming out. We always appreciate the support and feedback. There will not be an April Monthly as we are using that date for the Cotton Memorial (which is already sold out and has a massive waitlist). The next club monthly at Palm Royale will likely be on May 8.
